Chapeau de Napoleon is a moss rose of great beauty and scent. This one reaches up into the branches of the Curly Willow. I stand there listening to the birds as they prepare for nightfall. I can see my morning bench, placed to receive the sun at breakfast time, and balanced so that to tip backwards would be a certain way to land in the pond. July 2009
