Running Away

I have a friend who says there is nothing we can do, we are caught up in the tides of history and nothing we do will make the slightest bit of difference.
The cult of greed and deceit crushes our civilisations and covers the ruins with asphalt. Reflections of humanity trodden in the mire, obliterated with their makers.
